Where to Trick-or-Treat in Nashville and other Fall Fun 2017

October! That means it’s officially time for Ugg Boots, leggings, Pumpkin flavored all the things, and of course,  our annual round-up of the best places to celebrate Halloween and trick-or-treat in Nashville! Whether you’re an allergy mama or hoping for some candy-free funget your costumes ready (or borrowed) and head out for a ghoulishly good time!

Cheekwood Harvest

September 23rd-October 29th

Celebrate the changing of the seasons at Cheekwood! Get set to celebrate all things fall during Cheekwood Harvest—part of their year-round lineup of signature seasonal festivals. Find activities and experiences designed to appeal to kids, adults, and families alike—making this six-week celebration the perfect time for a peaceful solo stroll, a crisp fall family day, or an afternoon date.

For one special day, Cheekwood will go to the dogs! On October 21, bring your favorite four-legged friend to Cheekwood for the second annual Halloween Pooch Parade. Costumed canines and their owners are invited to parade around the gardens for a fun morning stroll.

While you are there you can visit the renowned pumpkin house, filled with over 400 gourds!  While you’re there, pick a pumpkin from the patch and take it home to carve, paint, or decorate!

On October 31st, you can attend Goblins in the Garden from 10:00 am-2:00 pm.    During this spooky and special Tuesdays for Tots, kids can explore the trick-or-treat trail in the Color Garden, enjoy themed art and science activities, and take a picture at the Pumpkin House photo booth!

Boo at the Zoo – Nashville Zoo

October 13-15, 20-22, and 26-29

Nashville’s littlest ghosts and goblins are invited to don their favorite costume for Boo at the Zoo, presented by The Children’s Hospital at Centennial.  There are ten nights of delightfully frightful fun during this annual Halloween tradition! Have fun exploring the Fall Festival Field full of carnival games, have your picture taken with a princess or superhero at the Enchanted Village, or grow your candy stash by taking a walk around the zoo for some trick-or-treating!

Tickets include: games, entertainment, carousel rides, hayrides, trick-or-treating and more.

Halloween at the Avenue

October 21st , 11:00 am- 1:00 pm

Enjoy Halloween fun at The Avenue from 11 AM – 1 PM. Visit treat stations located throughout The Avenue, trick or treat at participating stores. While supplies last. At 1 PM, join the costume parade at the Rutherford Parent Kids Fest Stage near Belk.

Booville at Nashville Shores

Saturdays and Sundays, September 30th- October 29th

Bring your little ghouls and goblins and enjoy our family-friendly Booville at Nashville Shores. Experience our hay bale maze, bounce houses, arts & crafts, costume contest, story time, trick-or-treat trail, games, Tennessee’s largest Frankenstein and more.

Get tickets for just $9.99 plus tax per person. Purchase online or at the gate.

Spooks & Coups at Franklin Recreation Complex

October 15th from 6-8:30pm

Have a spooky evening of fun at Spooks & Coupes at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin, TN 37064. This is Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s annual Halloween event for the whole family! Bring the kids in their costumes and enjoy trunk-or-treating from classic cars, Halloween characters, an entertainment stage, inflatables, and a craft tent. $6 at the gate (1yr. and younger admitted free).  Groups are welcome! Halloween Blowout at the Fairview Recreation Complex

October 28th from 6-8:00pm

Join in on this spooky evening and play all kinds of carnival games in the gym! At the end of the night, you can take part in the balloon drop where over 2,000 balloons will be dropped from the ceiling with goodies in them for you to enjoy! Ages 2-12 yrs old. $6 per goblin. Pre-registration required.

Trail of Treats at Veterans Memorial Park in La Vergne

Saturday, October 28th from 2-4:00pm

The annual candy trail is a favorite event sponsored by the city and includes pumpkin bounce races, games, and a hike through the park to “trick or treat” from local organizations and businesses.  Then stay for the Drive-In movie after Trail-of-Treats!

Halloween in the Park – Mt Juliet

Saturday, October 21st from 11am – 3:00pm

Costume Contests, Hay Rides, Petting Zoo, Trackless Train, Vendor Booths, and LOTS OF FREE CANDY!!!!

Trick-Or-Treat Fest – Honeysuckle Hill Farm

Saturday, October 28th, all day event

Dress up the kids in their favorite costumes and take them out to Honeysuckle Hill Farm for some fun and safe trick-or-treating! There will be tons of candy for the kids and then finish the night with a family-friendly Halloween movie at 7:00 pm.   Bring your blankets and chairs for a full evening of wholesome Halloween fun.

Halloween in the Park – Moss-Wright Park

October 28th, 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm

Halloween In the Park is in its inaugural year in 2017, replacing the annual Pumpkin Festival event.  The event will consist of a DJ, fun games, a costume contest, storytelling, and trick or treating with local businesses and organizations. This is a family friendly event. T here will be carnival type food available for purchase including popcorn, shaved ice, pretzels, lemonade, and more!
