Disclosure :: This is a sponsored post brought to you by the listed partners. Every last one of these recommendations has the Nashville Moms Blog “stamp of approval,” and we personally solicited all companies for inclusion.

We at Nashville Moms Blog love to share with you all the things that make our lives simpler, easier, happier, and/or better — and we love it more when those things happen to be local. This year, we’ve made our “favorite things” the focus of our Holiday Wishlist! We want to invite you to check it out. And keep your eyes peeled on December 14th — we’ll have some special announcements and giveaways starting that day!
This year our holiday wishlist is sponsored by our friends at The Avenue Murfreesboro. Just a quick jaunt from Nashville, with over 95 stores you’ll find just what you’re looking for this holiday season. Be sure you don’t miss out — The Avenue boasts over a dozen locally owned stores as well!

Twigs + Roots

We love that Twigs + Roots, owned and run by two Nashville women, chooses to use the safest and most effective ingredients from nature to ensure that their products are wholesome and natural as well as unique, environmentally friendly, and cruelty free. From tooth powder to baby balm to our favorite — the lavender and clary sage deodorant — their products are sure to impress.

Project 615

Project 615 is a philanthropic t-shirt and apparel company based here in Nashville. One of their main objectives is to help restore those who are on the path of recovery from homelessness, addiction and mental illness. Our favorite Project 615 tee — the Love Your Neighbor t-shirt — helps fulfill that objective as all proceeds from this design go to Room In The Inn, an organization that helps rehabilitate and shelter the homeless community here in Nashville!

Chick-fil-A Charlotte Pike

Chick-fil-A at Charlotte Pike believes in providing guests with the best restaurant experience possible. Their team prides itself on providing great tasting food and a comfortable environment in which to enjoy it. We at Nashville Moms Blog believe they’ve achieved that goal. From the impeccable service to the tasty food (and a play area! and wifi!) you can color us happy. And their calendars make our list of favorite things when it comes to holiday gifts!

Tame the Beast

Tame the Beast is a local start-up that is led by the Ecommerce director of FASHIONABLE, John Cascarano. Their specialty? They create men’s grooming products with arousing scents and energizing properties. Seriously though. Our favorite for gifting this season — Tame the Beast shave cream. Who can resist a man smelling of sandalwood and black pepper whose skin has benefitted from the soothing and smoothing qualities of green tea, vitamin B, and shea butter? Not us.

Kwik Stix

Kwik Stix from The Pencil Grip are our new obsession when it comes to art products. The solid Tempera paint dries in 90 seconds allowing for easy, mess-free creativity. It gets better too! Their 6 packs of basic and metalix colors are available in Target. (We know you’re there already . . . ) For the larger sets, utilize that Amazon Prime membership, mamas!

Baked in Nashville

After working in pastry with some of the best pastry chefs in the world for almost 5 years, Tiffany of Baked in Nashville began providing desserts for all of her friends and family. She realized she was onto something and started her own business — and Baked in Nashville was born. We’re in love with her beautiful cakes (seriously, check out her galleries!), but our favorite for gifting this year are her delicious macaroons. They’re perfect for friends, neighbors, co-workers — or yourself!

Melitta Coffee

The Melitta name has stood for passion and quality for over 100 years. A company with family values, Melitta relentlessly focuses on being a leader in coffee and coffee preparation. Their goal is to bring the European café experience to the American coffee drinker. Their Classique Supreme coffee paired with the porcelain pour-over coffee brew cone should be on your gift list for the coffee lovers in your life!

Zen Pig books

The Zen Pig is a beautiful series of books, created by a Nashville couple, that uses rhythmic poetry and minimalist design to teach the morals and values Zen Pig embodies while keeping the lessons in the spotlight. Zen Pig is always speaking wisdom into and serving his town and neighbors. Even better? The creators of the series strive to live those lessons themselves — and generously give from their proceeds to Mocha Club (an established non-profit which provides local, sustainable solutions for those living without clean water).

Kernels Gourmet Popcorn

Kernels Gourmet Popcorn is a family-owned business located in East Nashville. They carry 14+ unique and thoughtful flavors — many of which vary throughout the seasons. Some of our favorites are the chocolate drizzled, frosty, & vanilla cinnamon. You can buy individual flavors or have them mixed. “Pop” over today, sample a few, and find your favorites to take home with you!

Scout and Molly's

Scout and Molly’s is a popular destination in the heart of Hillsboro Village for unique clothing, jewelry, and accessories. We’ve found it to be the place where women can find distinctive ways of expressing their personality and tastes. Whether you are looking to update your wardrobe or need that special occasion outfit, Scout and Molly’s is your go-to to help you choose, style, and accessorize your look.

Local Honey Box

Last but not least — Jackson & Bradon (7 & 9 yrs old) are two elementary homeschoolers turning honey into money. For their business class, they opened up a “honey buzzness” called the #LocalHoneyBox.

You can find their raw local honey for sale in the heart of the Leiper’s Fork village outside of Pucketts. Interestingly enough, they sell their honey on an old-fashioned honor system. Their patrons slip $10 into the secure honey box in exchange for a one-pound jar of delicious wildflower honey. It’s part business and part social experiment — and so far, it’s working! Customers continue to be honest, and the boys are close to earning enough money for Disney World season passes for their whole family. We couldn’t love this as a gift option any more than we already do!

Help the boys reach their savings goals and give your loved ones a sweet gift this Christmas.  $10 for a one-pound jar of raw local wildflower honey. Made in Nashville! www.LocalHoneyBox.com

Cheekwood Botanical Gardens

Cheekwood is a 55-acre botanical garden and art museum located on the historic Cheek estate. Originally built as the home of Leslie and Mabel Cheek in 1929, Cheekwood is one of the finest examples of an American Country Place Era estate. Since being converted into a museum of art and botanical garden in 1960, Cheekwood has presented world-class art exhibitions, spectacular gardens and an historic estate unlike anything else.

We love that the kids can run free, observe fantastic gardens, and participate in art classes on site. (And don’t forget the trains!) The gardens make a great family outing as well as lovely date destination. Just a few reasons that a Cheekwood membership makes it on our favorite things wishlist!
