I came to Nashville for college and quickly fell in love with the place that would become my home. To this small town girl, our city provides all the opportunities of “big city” life without losing the comfort and familiarity of a small town.
I met my husband here; we married in 2010, and I became Stepmom to our sweet boy William as well as wife to a pretty amazing man. In 2012, we welcomed our son Thomas to the family, and I left my office job to be home with him and explore the world of cloth diapering, home management, and now toddler-wranging — all with a little freelance on the side. Life in a house full of boys was quite an adjustment. (Especially since all of this has been taking place in the middle of renovations of two different 19th century Victorian homes!) A little balance between the sexes was restored to our home in August when our daughter Maisy joined the family!
Nashville has provided the community that we have made our own. We enjoy the ample musical venues, green spaces, and amazing restaurants that our hometown has to offer. When I’m not chasing little ones or working on home renovations with my husband, you might find me exploring new restaurant possibilities, squeezing in some barre, yoga, or a run, or dreaming about traveling the world (both with my husband or as a family)!
Meeting new people is one of my very favorite things, and I love connecting the Moms of Nashville with the Nashville Moms Blog!
