“Mmmmmmm…312 Pizza!”

That’s the sound of my husband trying to convince me that we need to go to 312 Pizza Company for dinner—not that he has to do very much convincing!

With their authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, 312 offers something that until recently was impossible to find in Nashville.  The buttery, flaky crust, the perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, and the fabulously fresh toppings combine to make an incredible and unforgettable pizza experience. Due to the thicker crust, the wait time for one of these pies is about 45 minutes, so this meal is an event rather than “just another pizza night.” This pizza invites you to bring the family in, order a couple of drinks and an appetizer, and relax while enjoying great food and time with those you love. Close your eyes and you could easily be sitting in Lou Malnati’s, Gino’s East, or your favorite Windy City Giordano’s franchise.

Due to my husband’s carnivorous preferences, The Capone (sausage chunks, pepperoni, italian beef,  and bacon) is our usual pie, but there’s the Dearborn Station (mushrooms, tomatoes, black olive, and roasted red and yellow peppers) for the veggie lover, and the Mrs. O’Leary (mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, and gruyere topped with a parmesan/Romano blend) for those who like their slice of cheese. Two Chicago staples are on the menu as well—the Stockyard Patty that boasts sausage in every single bite as well as the State Street Spinach touted to have “piles of spinach seasoned and blended with cheese.”

If your tastes run toward a thinner crust, you’re in luck! 312 also offers a crispy thin crust that you can top to your own liking. In keeping with the lighter fare, they have a pretty incredible selection of salads for those aiming to up their intake of greens. My personal favorite (after being introduced to it by one of the owners, Staci Bockman) is the Wrigleyville Romaine. This masterpiece consists of chopped romaine hearts, tossed with a house-made lemon garlic dressing (all dressings are house-made, by the way) and topped with Gruyere, apples, candied pecans, and dried cranberries. I had to fight my little guy to get my share of the delicious toppings.

In learning about 312 Pizza, I was most impressed by their food sourcing choices. All menu items served in the restaurant are made in-house daily using non-GMO, growth hormone free, and antibiotic free ingredients. Local and organic produce is used whenever possible. If you are looking for a place that takes as much care in choosing their foods as you do, you’ve found it. As a result of their uncompromising standards, they are offering a product that is without comparison.
