One of our very favorite things here at Nashville Moms Blog is to share with you all the things that make our lives simpler, easier, happier, and/or better. And we love it more when those things happen to be local. Welcome to our second annual Favorite Things Holiday Wishlist! This year we have a special focus on local experiences — don’t miss it. And don’t miss our special announcements and giveaways starting today! You’ll have the chance to win our favorite things — and one lucky reader will when them ALL.
This year our holiday wishlist is sponsored by our friends at Give10Back.com and Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort.
Give10Back is an amazing online shopping site that allows you to save major $$ while also giving back to the community. Ten percent of all your purchases are donated to the church, school, or charity of your choice!
And don’t miss all the amazing holiday goings on at Gaylord Opryland this season! From ICE with the Peanuts to Cirque to the Build a Bear Scavenger Hunt . . . all this, the famed lights displays, and so much more (check the full list in our Holiday Events Guide).
Little Seed Farm endeavors to create a business and farming model based on true sustainability. While operating Little Seed as a model and a force for positive change in our local and global community, they create chemical-free, safe and nourishing skincare while using clean energy to produce their products and run their farm (as of September 2015 they are 100% solar powered!).
This gentle daily moisturizer repairs and renews all skin types for a calm and glowing complexion, naturally. Formulated with nourishing Goat’s Milk, Argan Oil, Aloe, and skin-enhancing botanical actives, this lightweight cream won’t clog pores and absorbs quickly leaving a silky lightly matte finish. And it smells absolutely DIVINE.
For over 30 years, kids have played and laughed in Hanna Andersson’s clothing. And our absolute favorite Hanna products? Their pajamas! If you’re on the hunt for matching family pajamas this holiday season, then be sure to check out our local store at Green Hills Mall or shop online. You’ll fall in love with their sweet stripes and fun prints too!
Maybe your kids are like ours and a little bit of fun could make time at the table a little easier (on you *and* them). We’ve found an answer for getting them to try soup — or maybe just for making finishing that melted ice cream or drinking the cereal milk a little less of a messy endeavor. Check out the Bowl XL + Straw! Removable straw clip makes for easy cleaning and converting to a multi-purpose bowl a snap. Included lid makes food storage easy and convenient. BPA, Phthalates and PVC free.
Kwik Stix from The Pencil Grip are our new obsession when it comes to art products. The solid Tempera paint dries in 90 seconds allowing for easy, mess-free creativity. It gets better too! Their 6 packs of basic and metalix colors are available in Target. (We know you’re there already . . . ) For the larger sets, utilize that Amazon Prime membership, mamas!

Stuck On You was founded in 1995 by Carrie Felton — a mom of three boys. Felton created Stuck On You to celebrate the individuality of every name, bring joy to new parents with unique, timeless products for every child, save families time, energy, and money and help them to lead a more organized life. The Stuck On You collection also includes activity and personalized books, durable and stylish bags, lunchboxes and drink bottles, stationery, bag tags, and gorgeous gifts for all ages. We love the gorgeous colors, the variety of options, and the versatility of the labels.
The Adventure Science Center’s mission is to open every mind to the wonders of science and technology, fostering a better understanding of ourselves and the world around us. We love the fun and exploration that they provide for each member of the family. If you’re looking for some family fun to slip into the kid’s stockings, a set of tickets (and perhaps adding on the Planetarium or a Laser Show) would be a great idea! Or maybe grandparents or other extended family has asked for ideas? Consider a Science Center membership!
Cirque Dreams Holidaze lights up Nashville for the first time this year at the Grand Ole Opry House. Experience this Broadway musical, new cirque adventure and family show wrapped in one. An amazing show for the whole family, Cirque boasts the finest singers, original music and seasonal favorites performed in a multi-million-dollar stage wonderland. Experience snowmen, penguins, angels, reindeer, toy soldiers, gingerbread men and ornaments… flying, balancing, and stretching imaginations. Gravity defying feats will have you on the edge of your seat… and, of course, Santa!
We love Blooma for many reasons — they’re lovely owner, teachers, and classes are all worth mentioning. They offer prenatal yoga, postnatal mama-baby yoga, babywearing barre classes, vinyasa for everyone at hours moms (and dads!) can get out of the house, a variety of kids classes, and they even have childcare by reservation! Also, you can schedule a massage with some very talented masseuses. If mama needs some time for herself, a Blooma Pass might be just what she needs. For the little ones? Kids Passes are also available (and the benefits for children are innumerable)!
Cheekwood is a 55-acre botanical garden and art museum located on the historic Cheek estate. Originally built as the home of Leslie and Mabel Cheek in 1929, Cheekwood is one of the finest examples of an American Country Place Era estate. Since being converted into a museum of art and botanical garden in 1960, Cheekwood has presented world-class art exhibitions, spectacular gardens and an historic estate unlike anything else.
We love that the kids can run free, observe fantastic gardens, and participate in art classes on site. (And don’t forget the trains!) The gardens make a great family outing as well as lovely date destination. Just a few reasons that a Cheekwood membership makes it on our favorite things wishlist!
