Nashville Summer Camps 2018

Watch out mamas — 2018 is off to a speedy start, and it’s already time to start figuring out summer plans! While summer makes many think of popsicles, summer moviesparks, pool time, and lazy backyard days, we KNOW that, as moms, it can also be a frustrating time when you are struggling to piece childcare together week by week and month by month. We hope that this guide helps you to plan a fun-filled and stress-free summer—for all of your family.

A special thanks goes out to all of the sponsors that helped us made this guide possible. If you would like your camp included in this guide please email meg{@}nashmomsblog{dot}com.

For campers entering grades K-10, Camp Davis utilizes our 6 core values to create incredible summer’s year after year!

Fun- From the way we say “Hello!,” to the way we pick up trash, if it’s not fun- it’s not Camp Davis.
Love- Respect, compassion, and acceptance all come together to create a community where positivity is contagious.
Growth- Both our campers and staff are constantly pushed to go just a little bit farther, learning from their mistakes.
Nature- Summertime is for sunshine, grass stains, and kids that come home sweaty, muddy, and smiling!
Holy Community- Our community includes a wide spectrum of faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and economic status- we are unique, diverse, and united as a family.
Righteousness- More than just summer programming, at Camp Davis we are actively working to make the world a better place one child at a time.

No two weeks at YMCA Day Camp are the same as campers spend each day immersed in the weekly theme, learning new skills, exploring new concepts, achieving amazing things and having lots of fun. The majority of the camp day is spent outdoors, with some small group and reflection time built into each day. Recreational swimming is a major component of each week, and the Y is excited to offer a free Water Safety Instruction course to all campers who do not pass the Y’s swim test.

For our younger campers, Camp Little Y offers an age-appropriate variation of each week’s day camp theme for ages 3-5 (must be potty-trained.) With more inside time than the traditional program, our “Little Campers” enjoy lots of crafts, playtime and swimming.

YMCA Day Camp and Camp Little Y offered weekly, May 30-July 28

YMCA Sports Camps offered weekly, June 5-July 28 (No camp week of July 4)
