As we bring another year to a close, it is time to get out and celebrate a new year and new beginnings! Whether you are looking for an adults night out, or a place to ring in the new year that is kid-friendly, we have you covered. Check out some of the events around the city and surrounding areas below.

For the Socialites 

Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight- Bicentennial Mall 

If you like to be a part of the biggest and most popular bash in town, then head on over to Bicentennial Mall for the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight. Headlined by Keith Urban, with other musical guests, this is sure to be a fun way to countdown to midnight. The event is free, but be sure to check the weather since it is outdoors. Big Night in Nashville NYE Gala/ Opryland Hotel

If you prefer to get all dressed up for a date night with your significant other, then be sure to check out this annual event at Opryland hotel. This is a ticketed event. so be sure to grab your tickets! Opryland Hotel is also a fun place to celebrate with kids; the holiday lights are still up, ICE! is still going on, along with numerous other fun kid-friendly events! You can also take the short walk over to Dave and Buster’s for some entertainment and their annual New Year’s Eve Celebration

Lower Broadway/ Demonbreun/The Gulch

You can guarantee that the downtown honky tonks and restaurants will be alive with fun all night long! Check out their individual websites for cover charges, tickets, and special menus! 

NYE Blacklight Party Mayday Brewery Murfreesboro

Dance in all neon and celebrate with local beers and a champagne toast. Pricing and information available here.

GRAY’s on Main Franklin 

Come and enjoy dinner in historic downtown Franklin then head upstairs for a musical NYE party and drinks. Make reservations by calling 615-435-3603. For more information and menus, check out their site

NYE 2018 Black & White Masquerade at Bar Louie- Downtown Nashville, Bellevue and Murfreesboro locations

“Bar Louie’s Black and White Masquerade is an ode to Truman Capote’s infamous Grand Masked Ball hosted in New York in 1966 and they want you to be there.”  A night full of food, party favors, champagne toasts, and masquerade masks- starting at only $20. NOON Year’s Eve celebrations for the kids

If you want to celebrate with your kids in the daytime before enjoying some adult time that evening, check out these recommendations. 

The Adventure Science Center has a fun “National Geographic presents: Earth Explorers”  event planned for the kids to come and learn about different New Year’s traditions throughout the world. Learn and have fun all at the same time! For more information on times and tickets, visit their website. 

If you live around the East Nashville area, stop by East Nashville Beer Works for their 3rd Annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration. This event will feature live music, pizza and dancing so the kids can get their party on to. Click here for times and directions. 

The Discovery Center in Murfreesboro is hosting their own countdown to noon, complete with karaoke, a Wii dance party, and more. At noon there will be a balloon drop! Admission is $8 or free for members. For directions and more info, check out their site

Want to tire those kids out so they sleep well? Pump It Up Brentwood and Mt Juliet will have a fun countdown while you bounce; including games, balloon drops and more! Celebrations for the entire family 

Bowling is always a family fun event, no matter what day of the year! Check out the special events at your local bowling alley, as they are sure to have a fun-filled New Year’s Eve celebration planned. Here are a few around Middle Tennessee. 

  • Lanes, Trains, and Automobiles Murfreesboro: From 6-9pm, purchase a package for your large group that includes bowling, party favors, pizza and games. 
  • Hermitage Strike and Spare: Choose from different packages and time slots throughout the day; bowling, party favors, and unlimited soft drinks included. Call 615-883-8900 for reservations.
  • King’s Dining & Entertainment Cool Springs: If you are out in Williamson County, check out this fun New Year’s Eve Party Through The Decades. There will be a live DJ with songs from every decade, enjoy lunch or dinner, then bowling. Visit the website to make your reservations! 
  • Stars & Strikes Smyrna: New to the Smyrna area, this entertainment center is sure bring lots of fun to your group. You can reserve the New Years Eve Package of unlimited bowling, pizza, sliders, soda games and attractions. 

Catch a movie at your local theater. Popcorn, candy and screen time are a fun way to celebrate with kids of all ages. 

Hit the rink at your local skating center (rollerskating or ice skating!). 

Plan an event at home! Grab some party favors, balloons and confetti and have your own balloon drop. Watch movies, play board games, cards and enjoy fun themed snacks and drinks!
