A Touch a Truck event is a unique festival that has become popular throughout the country, and is now coming to Giles County! The event is free, though guests are encourages to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to our local food pantry.
On September 16, 2017, trucks – and other vehicles of all kinds – will gather at the Pulaski Courthouse Square from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children of all ages, with parent participation, will have a chance to touch, sit in, and explore these amazing pieces of equipment, meet their drivers/ operators, and learn about the businesses behind the machines.
The first hour will be a sensory-sensitive time, with no horns, sirens, or flashing lights for special needs or very young children. In addition to vehicle participants, there will be a food truck area as well as vendors selling various merchandise and informational/marketing booths. Additional activities for the children will be provided as well, such as stories, games, building projects, etc.
