Spring Break is right around the corner, y’all. Are you and your family planning on staying in Nashville and finding a few new experiences to enjoy during the week? We’ve got ideas. Let our guide help plan the perfect staycation for your family!

The kids are likely to have some pent up energy. Let them run it out at the Nashville Zoo, Adventure Science Center, Cheekwood, or Discovery Center at Murfree Spring. Perhaps sign the kids up for a day or more of a Spring Break Camp? Or maybe a day at the park is more your speed? Make sure to check out the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park or Mary’s Magical Place, an inclusive playground for children with special needs. Pack up a picnic or pick up a favorite meal on the way and make a day of it!

For a special treat, visit a few donut or ice cream shops and vote as a family to rate your favorite! For donuts, don’t miss Donut Country, 5 Daughters Bakery, and Vegan Vee (gluten-free bakery). If ice cream is more your speed, you can’t go wrong with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Frisson Soft Serve, or The Pied Piper Creamery.

Grab your phone and hit up the murals painted around town (check our site for all 4 parts of our mural guide!) for some fun family pictures! The WhatLiftsYou wings and the I Believe in Nashville murals are can’t miss spots. But there are so many more funky street art installations all around town. Spend an afternoon driving around to see what you can spot!

Looking for something more educational? Check out some of the local museums like the Tennessee Agricultural Museum, the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, The Frist Art Museum (kids 18 and under are free!), or the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum (Davidson County families can check out a pass from the Nashville Public Library!).
Nashville is full of great adventures for any family this Spring. Pick a few ideas from our list and start exploring! Got other ideas? Share them in the comments.
