5 Subscription Services for the Modern Mom

0

As a full time working mama to three little ones, I can tell you that finding the time to shop is hard. And when I do have the time? Spending it wrangling all three of kiddos in and out of a dressing room or in a supermarket checkout line isn’t my idea of a good time. Instead, I have found conveniences along the way that make the entire experience easier and—in my opinion—better. Today, I’m sharing with you the top five subscription services that I use to keep me on trend, on budget, well-dressed, clean, and fully stocked in the wine department.

Stitch Fix

I absolutely love Stitch Fix.  I’ve been using it for over a year now. I’ve received 12 fixes and have kept so many pieces that I barely need to go shopping. It’s so easy. You create a style profile (so your stylist can get to know you). You show them the styles you love and those you hate. You link to Pinterest boards for inspiration, and you set the prices for each item—as well as the frequency at which they send your fixes. Once you have everything set, they send you five pieces. You try each piece on in the comfort of your own home (without any kids climbing under the dressing room walls and into the stall with the person getting dressed next to you) and decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back. Go to their website or use their app to tell them what you loved (and hated) about each piece. Then put any item you don’t want back in the prepaid shipping bag, and drop it in the mail. That’s it. So easy!

Goodwill Hunting

Attention, Local Nashville Mamas! You are going to LOVE this one. Goodwill Hunting is a shopping service started by local Nashville SAHM Kaythryn. Goodwill Hunting is similar to services like Stitch Fix except it’s LOCAL and THRIFTED! Each item is purchased second hand in excellent used condition. Clients create a Pinterest page so Kathryn can get to know your style. You receive 5 ($10 each) hand picked pieces to try on. You keep what you like and return what you don’t. There are NO other fees. It’s practical, simple styling. This could be a great addition to the way in which you shop.  Affordable and sustainable. What more could the fashion conscious mom on a budget ask?

I got to try out Kaythryn’s service; she sent me a “hunt,” and and it was so much fun.  She ended up sending me a pair of earrings, a necklace and 3 tunics.  All super-cute and totally my style. I would definitely recommend that anyone in the Nashville area give her a try!

Shipt

I will admit that I actually like grocery shopping. I love taking my time and strolling thru the aisles, but I very rarely get to do that with my three little ones. Most of the time, it looks more like this: I have three kids hanging on the cart and touching every.single.item. in the store. It’s not the most enjoyable experience. Enter Shipt. I was introduced to Shipt a few months ago and have used them several times. It is amazing. Truly. You choose your items either through their browser or their app, choose your communication, and delivery time options, and checkout. You can have your groceries delivered as soon as ONE hour after placing the order. Shipt is seriously a game changer.

ePantry

ePantry is such a great service, and I get most of my cleaning products from this site. It’s easy and affordable. Here’s how it works: You answer a few questions about your home, and ePantry will then suggest products for you. Choose your all-natural products, and order! That’s it. This is a subscription service, so deliveries are scheduled ahead of time—but you can change or cancel at any time.

Club W

Really, there are no words. Wine. Delivered to my house. I shouldn’t have to say more, but I will—because it’s that good. Club W is the only personalized wine club. Each month, they will make new recommendations for you based on your Palate Profile. Go with their suggestions, or make your own selections from their ever-changing assortment. The Club W monthly Experience starts at 3 bottles a month for $39 + $6 flat-rate shipping. Club W covers shipping on orders of 6 or more bottles! I’ve had three Experiences so far, and I’ve beyond happy with their selection and service.
